For re-branding the golden age of men's cufflinks, I tracked down and researched all available ads from the time period to create an archival database which I used to make unique 2" x 2" Certificates of Pedigree which would accompany a particular pair of cufflinks.

The certificate shows a thumbnail of the actual ad in which the cufflinks first appeared, a closer silhouette of the cufflink pair, and a short description, creating exclusive provenances for vintage items which enhancedtheir perceived value. The Result: An average selling

price of $145 per pair—in most cases a gross profit of 80%, and an absolutely unique mens accessory niche.

CREME DE LA CUFF

I created vintage mens accessory business centered around re-branding new old stock cufflinks from the 1950's and 60's. I created all graphics, support inserts, wrote all copy, shot and edited all photography and managed all logistics, fulfillment & promo. I sIngle-handedly designed and built small boutique booth at 608 Broadway, NYC to resemble a 50's living room, complete with wood floor and paneling, custom displays and light fixtures. This business expanded my awareness of retail and online shopping and product promotion, as well as enabling the use of my creative skills and marketing knowledge.

I created a small line of unique original jewelry that included sapphire-set

mini pocket knives & real micro switchblades, toggle switches and more—

I wanted unisex jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.
